    Hammock recommendation please

    I made my own. Imported 4 yards of HyperD 1.6 from ripstopbytheroll. 11 foot long and 76 inches wide in black. Cost £50. Continuous loops with cinch buckles and 5mtr tree straps with a dutch clip. Tree straps from Henge Hammocks, military grade straps.

    Bought some 6oz waxed cotten from ebay and made pouches for my pots and pans, cook and spice roll, and a duffle bag 24"x12" I was quite pleased with the result

    Dyneema tarp ridgeline

    I use a lashit/zingit ridgeline from Henge Hammocks. Has a titanium hook at one end and a Dutch Wasp at the other. Also i have 2 Nama Claws to attach to the tarp using a dyneema loop. Very light, no knotts and very quick to set up and adjust.

    It's a hatchet, extremely sharp, as in shaving sharp. 16 inches long, 3 inch cutting face. Weighs 2 lb. Can be used for splitting small logs. I've carved the blank for a spoon with it. Regular stropping seems they way to go. Also have wet stones if needed.

    Beautiful video. They were bought out by Granfors in 2017. The Wetterlings axe can still be bought from the factory, though stock is dwindling! The owners of the shop where i bought the axe from were recently over there and bought several back with them. I feel I'm fortunate to own one

    Ive used boiled linseed oil, 50 - 50 with white spirit. The shop I bought it from were very helpful. They were over at the Swedish factory and came back with a few Wetterlings axes

    My last axe was a spear and jackson with a plastic type handle, so this is my first "proper" axe. It was expensive so I want to look after it. Any advice is welcome.

    Ive just purchased a Wetterlings Hunter Hatchet, my first quality axe. Yet to try it out, but it oozes quality, feels great in the hand, and shaving sharp. Very impressed.

    Bought from UKHammocks, £20 plus a couple of pounds delivery. Arrived on 2 days. I swapped the para cord for whoopie slings.
