I checked - as best as i can tell its 42" Chest. Sadly, no amount of optimism will bridge the 'difference' ;) Good luck with your sale.

    Barbour Breathables Jacket

RT - don't let 'them' get you down. Apologies as dashing out and no web time to check ( and I'll confess a bit of an optimistic shot in the dark from fatso here ) but do you know the chest size of this ( noted its large )?

    Ouch!!!

Just dont eat it, let the dog lick it off ( we KNOW about you and the 'toe thing' :) ) or apply to broken skin. That aside - its good stuff and very effective. I've found best to go to Equine Store type place and by a jar of something like Naff brand Arnica Gel for horses. About a tenth the cost...

    Helikon-Tex Bushcraft line

I have the SFU trousers - many sets - once you get used to button fly, I cannot fault them. Very hard wearing. Ok I have the stomach of someone who should have a 54 inch inside leg, not 30 inches - but thats my fault not theirs!

    Ultrafire WF 1000 replacement

Big Fenix fan and Rob Balzan at Photon Shop - the original Fenix distributor and a good guy. So I hope he doesn't find out I was tempted by the Thrunite V5 ... and gave in! Got it last week and so far very impressed. Solid build quality and sensible controls. Thus far lots of 'playing' hasnt...

    Hand Forged Firesteel Sets

New chain saw advice - very hot

SXM - its definately the exhaust and perfectly normal that it will get scorching and stay hot a good while after use. Always wise to check if unsure about anything. You MUST ( emphasis for comic effect ) remember than whenever you ask a question its an opportunity for some of the good members...

Thank you to Whitby & Co

I know these tend to get a bit boring - but credit where it is due. In a complete 'dufus' moment I managed to flick out the double ended screwdrivr bit from my Leatherman Wave - whilst stood in powder snow over heather. 20 fruitless minutes of looking and no joy. Quite search online and it...

Zombie Knives hitting the news - what's your views?

I'm heartened and wary in equal measure that this thread hasn't gone nuclear. A good range of views expressed quite well. Its an area I've commented upon previously and I'm wary that it is a generally contentious theme. Wayne put it very well in my view. Objects are objects. How they are...

    Gransfors bruks

Not bothered to search for other post mentioned - so apologies if mucking things up! Just to say my Christmas presesnt GB Splitting Maul from my better half came from the same place. I'll confess to not having come across them before - but during her search, said BH, found three places with...

    Surplus On Ebay

Had generally good results - pays to read the ads very carefully and not least 'between the lines'! Pet gripe is time after time seeing 'free postage' and then getting a message a day or so later - the courier wants £895.99 plus VAT to deliver to an IV postcode - please can you Paypal the extra...

Stihl Bush Hook (sic ) or Fiskars x3

BS - fine thanks, shovelling snow and hoping it doesn't put clients off for next week! SD - many thanks. I did note that the Fiskars edge looked a bit fine. Still thinking, but gut is heading in direction of the Stihl - and given my build there's a certain intertia involved! :)

Stihl Bush Hook (sic ) or Fiskars x3

How are you doing? ( Its Andy - waaaay back :) ). Thanks for the input. Will ponder on it.

Stihl Bush Hook (sic ) or Fiskars x3

Couldn't see a direct comparison thread on these - though BCUK and Googly turn up lots of reviews with some glowing reports on them both. One list of the 'top 5' bill hooks had them both rated at 5 stars. Now I fully appreciate there's quite a difference between the two. My gut reaction is to...

    Leatherman Wave pouch

Dougster made me one ( interest declared ), cheap it is not - until I realise I've spent three times the cost on utter rubbish that doesnt last and/or work ( I too wear every day ). Dougsters version is custom fit to the wave and I specified a sam brown stud. Been using daily since July and...

    Recommend me a torch please

At risk or reopening 'torch war' / 'battery battle'/ 'Lumen Lambast' :lmao: I've had a few various makes over the years and recall ( defn signs of a. old age and b. having no social life ) travelling the length of Derbyshire in the 1980's to get a 4 D Cell Maglite - which ( aside from thumping...
