    Spearhead.

Several years ago I bought a spearhead and I was displeased about sharpness but did nothing about it. Finally I got contact with a knifesmith that took upon him to sharpen it better. And got it back today, sharp enough to cut paper without it shredding instead of cutting.

    Test: Crusader cup, Flexistove, Firedragon.

Timed the test. Did the test in my kitchen so no wind. Had to use two cubes to get the water boiling. First cube burned out at 6 minutes. Water was only 77 Celsius. Put in a new cub (without stopping the watch) and lit. Water boiled (with big bubbles) at 11 minutes and second cube burned out at...

    Had an epiphany.

Bought a new anorak. Quite thin and light material, 190g/m2. 65% Poly 35% Co. Intended use as a summer jacket. But then I thought, hello! Why not use this as a shirt with only a string vest under. I always use a long sleeve shirt when outside in strong sunshine summertime. Don´t want to get...

    Bed roll, sort of.

What do you think of following: I have a huge piece of wool cloth. Same cloth they used to make army uniforms of in Finland. Tightly woven and about 2mm thick. My idea is to take this wool and and on one side of it let a seamstress sew a rain proof fabric...
