Small belt / neck backpacking knife?

I was thinking of a Trapper in Elmax. But these are bigger knives than I need right now, already owning a Casstrom Woodsman. The Brisa Bobtail 80 that I just bought should suffice as a small and simple backpacking knife. I am seriously thinking of one of Rob Evans’ full tang puukkos though.

    Berghaus Delta?

Thanks for the heads up but yes, would like it to be green - like the one in the photo.

Small belt / neck backpacking knife?

Thanks for all your advice. I’ve opted for a Brisa Bobtail 80 Scandi, only 75g so good for backpacking and general camping. But I’m seriously considering one of Rob’s FTP knives, they look perfect.

    Berghaus Delta?

Does anyone know anything about the Berghaus Delta with side pockets and where I might find one? Pinched a photo of one from an old thread:

    Wanted Berghaus Delta rucksack

Does anyone have a Berghaus Delta lying around, needing a new home? It’s the one with the fixed side pockets I’m looking for, like this one (hope previous poster doesn’t mind me using these photos):

Agreed. I’ve a few Brisa/Enzo knives on my possibles list.

Small belt / neck backpacking knife?

Nice looking knife. Only a stick tang unfortunately, and perhaps a little thin at 2.6mm. But the Helle knives do appeal.

Small belt / neck backpacking knife?

I have a few Opinels, great little folders. As for batoning, I would like to be able to do it albeit at lightweight level, nothing thicker than 2” diameter really. It’s for fuel for my firebox nano stove. I really like both of those. What is the blade size of the FTP? Looks kinda perfect. I...

If my funds could stretch that far, then absolutely, yes!

Small belt / neck backpacking knife?

Ah, yes, just going to say that the blade is really thick! For a bigger knife I wouldn’t mind so much but I even find my Casstrom Woodsman a little thick - great for batoning though. I’d say 3.5mm would be my max on this new one.

Small belt / neck backpacking knife?

The Brisa / Enzo knives looks real possibles - all of the above mentioned ones appeal: Elver, Bobtail and Necker 70

Small belt / neck backpacking knife?

Sorry Jared, I meant to say ‘but I couldn’t find one in that steel.’

Small belt / neck backpacking knife?

Beautiful! Little beyond my budget though. I should have said, I’d prefer the price to be under £150. If price was no object I’d go custom, maybe something in RWL34 steel.

Small belt / neck backpacking knife?

Looks great but I could find one in that steel anywhere. Knives & Tools don’t have it.

That looks interesting, thank you! Maybe with scales. I’ll drop them an email.
