Thank you all for your input so far, it has helped. I had better clear up a misunderstanding here though. I know i want a tattoo and want it bushcraft themed but unsure on the design. I know its there for life, might regret it etc but i could say that about my 6 other tattoos. Think i'm happy...

Hi all, I would like to ask you all for a bit of assistance. I'm going for a new tattoo soon and am hoping to get something of a bushcraft theme but really unsure what to get. All i can think of at the moment is a green man down the length of my forearm. Anyone have any other ideas/pictures please?

Which survival kit item has saved most lives?

There are to many variables to give an accurate answer in my opinion. Mobiles are only good if you have a signal and where i live in Co.Kerry i dont have a signal in my house let alone in the mountains and the best internet speed i can get is 1 Mg! At least i could use the mobile battery to make...

    Chain saw

Got to say i would never use one without PPE. I joined http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/ and they are a great bunch that will help you a lot with any questions. Husky all the way with me, the 357xp is my best toy but the 353 i have is tuned perfectly with a modified muffler as well so it sings sweet...

i fought the saw, and the saw won!

So what saw you using? I have the Husky 357xp and a Husky 353 as back up, plus a couple of others. Be lost without them and would have a cold family this winter. You got your CS30 and 31 done i take it and full PPE? All those boxes ticked it can only be put down as one of those unlucky things...

    Oh deer! Somebody left evidence

Sorry bud. In response to your picture, i'm confused as to why the bones are all in pieces? Is it in a field where a farm machine may have broken them?

    Oh deer! Somebody left evidence

I do fully understand where you are coming from. I did used to know some rather nasty characters many years ago when i lived in West Sussex that had no compassion for the animals they hunted or the dogs they used, they were expendable. To me my dog was something special, i got him at 8 weeks old...

    Oh deer! Somebody left evidence

Glad you say MOST of the dog guys. There are a few of us left that take for the pot to feed the family and i take pride in the fact that everything i catch or my dog catches gets eaten, i take what i need and no more. I know its wrong but we generally all do things that are wrong everyday.

Just jump on a plane and head to Cork airport in Ireland, Ryanair is dead cheap. I'll pick you up and then you can use my place as a base to go off into the wild mountains of Kerry. All for about 40 quid for the flight. :) Heres my Daughter with my house down below. [/IMG]
