Got the courage to film my first video on YouTube

Oh very nice. Well if you're in the area, I can take you to where I go normally. It lacks a water supply, but it's a good wooded area and reasonably quiet apart from the odd dog Walker on the path Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk

Definitely looks like they match the pics from the 2nd site. So I'm inclined to believe they're mottlegills. I'm on the look out for oysters and St George's...but struggle every year as someone else always gets there. Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk

She said she found them in our village green in the shaded wood part. They were spaced over maybe 400m or so

Is anyone able to identify these? They were given to me by a neighbour who found them on her dog walk, so I said I'd try. Can anyone help out? Or so I need to do a better picture? Would I be right in thinking mottlegill Mushroom?

    Medieval kit?

3 out of the 4 furs I was given ended up rotting before I even picked them up from the butcher so I was left with a single fur. This is the end result from it. I cut a piece of the antler off for a button/toggle, sewed up the fur after tanning and this is the end result. It was my first try and...

    Medieval kit?

So the butcher will provide me with some rabbit skins, which I'll need to flesh and tan. Should get some tomorrow to flesh and tan, and possibly turn into mittens, and probably some sort of pouches. If feasible I'll look at making some slippers also if I get enough of them. As for milling...

    Medieval kit?

I've just spoken to my butcher and he will get me some untanned skins so I can show how to tan the skins also :)

    Medieval kit?

We have a quarry near by, so I'll see what stones I can find there. Didn't think to look there if I'm honest and I'll try to shape it out with elbow grease :)

    Medieval kit?

My daughters school is doing a medieval fayre in 2 weeks, and I've been asked to attend because of my bushcraft skills and how they would have been helpful to the medieval man. Whilst I have the attire and some of the kit, I am missing various items and was wondering if people knew where I could...

    Shaving kit

in respect for a woman answering, hell I don't care, if it has something to add! :) As for currently. I am looking at a shavette, something I can fit a small blade into, and in an emergency can be used as a knife also without breaking my straight razor.

    Shaving kit

So, this technically falls under bladed kit, but what does everyone use for shaving when out for extended periods, and then for at home? I've moved away from disposable razors, the Gillette style razors and safety razors and moved to a straight razor, but I know for practicality sakes it's not...
