Such a shame that Broadstone Warren have done this - I wonder why the change of heart?
Arundel is easy for me to get to - I would be interested in a meet there. Hope to see something arranged for the new year.

I was planning on coming this evening and staying for the weekend but I'm not feeling too well.
I may just come along Saturday afternoon and say hello but don't think I'll be staying overnight.
Enjoy the evening :)
Steven

Hi Guys, long time no meet for me!
I've been working all summer for The Bushcraft Company, living on an estate near Oxford teaching kids about camping and survival skills. Haven't slept in a bed for months!
Can't make this meet but possibly will be able to do Sept or Oct. Would be great...
Great, thanks Luke.
Re. fire lighting - I'm just wanting to keep my hand in as I haven't done much natural fire lighting recently. I'll be bringing a stash of char cloth, birch bark, cramp balls, thistle heads and some sphagnum moss that I have been drying and want to practice getting a fire...
Yes, it's Broadstone Warren. Looks as though a few people are going to bring maps but as you have kindly offered it would be nice to have one. my email is steven.tagg@icloud.com 1:25 would be great.
Thanks for the link. I've downloaded a few things from OS and they are very helpful.
Cheers :)
Great, thanks Dave.
Also - where did you buy your flint and steel? I'm looking online and the prices seem horrific seeing as it's a bit of steel and some flint! Most come as kits with leather pouches but I'm just looking for the 2 elements so I can practice some firelighting at the meet...
Happy New Year to you all :)
Looking forward to the upcoming meet. I was lucky enough to receive some Bushcrafty gifts for Xmas and will be bringing some along with me.
I got a Silva compass and would like to pick up where I left off with Fed Up Frog on my first meet when he kindly gave...
Looking forward to tomorrow :)
I haven't got any charcoal but I'm bringing a bag of nice, dry wood which should come in handy.
Ordered some thermals but they haven't arrived yet. Fingers crossed, eh?! :)

Spuds, sprouts - Spandit
Pigs in blankets - Spandit
Carrots in Orange & Thyme...
Needed something to combine with my sleeping bag as it's only a cheap, light thing.
As it turns out it's a bit too much of a mission to get there this month anyway.
Hopefully will make the Xmas one. Have a good one, chaps :)
Looks a bit nasty, that does, Bill. Hope you're on the mend soon :)
So it looks like I'll be arriving Friday by bus (it's only a 3 hour journey!!) but I have another problem now - all the kit I ordered for tarp/groundsheet set-up has arrived apart from the Czech Army Sleeping System that I...
