    Trousers

Helikon SFU/BDU trousers? Very inexpensive, light, dry quickly. I tend to use mine for working in woods/wild camping (read 'workhorse')rather than my Haglofs RMP's.

Thank you very much! Sorry to hear about your loss, I hope this year's more successful :) Cheers Nick

Sounds great Tombear! Would you mind sharing your contacts for 'old' organic seed-stock please?

    Fixed pruning saw

If that's the orange handled version with a slight curvature, I picked one up recently to take the pressure off my Katanaboy, as the Bigboy blades are a lot cheaper. I haven't used it much, but I compared the two at the Bigboy's limit, circa 11-12inches of semi-seasoned Chestnut, and it was good :)

    Fixed pruning saw

Sounds like a Silky folder (by virtue of the teeth configuration for seasoned wood, although their fixed blades do work okay), which, as Dwardo says, are very sensitive if you apply pressure on the push stroke. Easily worth the money imo, especially if used a lot :)

    Silky genki-temagari saw

Just double-check whether you can still get spare genki blades if that's a factor, I was under the impression they'd stopped this model. Wouldn't you rather have a curved blade for bite at height? Hth

End of season Blade Sale (forged finished)

No thanks Dave, too big! I also carry a Westmorland billhook made by John Beavis whilst working. I think i'll be looking at a 4-5.5mm like you have available, although i'm not sure on profile/length yet :) I know i'm being a bit daft, but is a forge finished blade tempered, or does it need...

End of season Blade Sale (forged finished)

Haha, thanks Dave! I'm not sure yet, sorry. I usually use a hatchet and carry a light knife whilst being productive in the woods, but a friend (who incidentally has a good carving axe you made) is/has convinced me that a heavier knife would be better, and then I saw your thread :) I'm not...

    Hook knife ?

Dave Budd, Svante Djarv, Hans Karlsson, or Nic Westermann are all good, most offer a range and work slightly differently to each other.
