    Karrimor SF Sabre 75 Review

I have owned a Karrimor SF sabre 75 for a year now and I opted for this pack after I became fed up with the PLCE bergen that I had been using for many years. The PLCE bergen is a capable rucksack with good load carrying capacity, high quality construction and some handily placed pockets. The...

    Karrimor SF Sabre 30 Review

Bushcraft is all about knowing more so that we can carry less right? Well, despite this the vast majority of Bushcraft folk do carry some equipment with them and in most cases this is a very wise thing to do. The key thing is to pack only the essentials, those items that you can use to make...

I tested this today and surprisingly it does indeed work. With my phone connected directly to the solar panels using the USB port, the phone immediately sprang to life and began to charge.

Sea To Summit Pocket Shower Review

Not showering has become synonymous with bushcraft in recent years. The thing is, you do not need to go unwashed when spending time in the wilderness. There are many options available to keep clean, my preferred option has always been to take a plunge in a river or loch and get it over with as...

Yes you can plug an iPhone into either outputs. edit: I think i misunderstood your question, do you mean can you charge an iPhone directly from the solar panels, bypassing the battery? I do not know, i will test that and post the results when i have them, it's pretty horible out there at the...

    PowerMonkey Extreme Review

Hi ateallthepies's - Yes it delivers 3 Watts in direct sunlight which is enough to charge it in 15 hours, i'm going to go out on a limb here and say that i think it actually performs better than that. However, direct sunlight is not something that i have seen much of recently and it's been...

    What to do?

You might find the spey a bit too low in places in the summer, last time i did it it was a scraper in some places and that was a september / october. Although there are plenty of deep and flat sections that i expect would be fine year round. Good luck with your week anyway!

    Hunting with Catapults

I watched a Dave Canterbury video recently, he is selling a 'sling bow' basically a black widow that shoots arrows. It's quite impressive and in one of the video's you see him shoot a rabbit with one. Blatently ileagal here but goood to know what is possible for research purposes anyway...
