Robin, does this happen during/after rainfall? If yes, as it rains the water dissolves chemicals from the bark of the tree which changes the surface tension. This allows air to be introduced causing the foam either at the base of the tree or a similar choke point. My dogs always bark at it...

Hello All I have not been to a meet since April, hoping to get a few in over the winter if the dates work out. Are they still happening as it seems to have gone quiet? Luke

I have been busy with deer stalking this winter, I'm in Exmoor Next weekend. Fitting my kitchen next month, hope to be on the April meet. Luke
