hi im making a knife handle and the wood i have (no idea what it is) seems to eat sand paper and i have been through 5 a4 sized pieces and not even got the back flush with the tang :( is there anyone with in a 40 mile radius of bedford that has a table mounted sander i could come and use id pay...

hi a good friend of mine gave me a heads up that a new bushcraft shop had opened up in bedford so off i went to find it well i didnt :( i looked where i thought it was but could not see it and as it was raining i gave up and went home lol today i thought ill have a better look and found it...

well he at least is at scouts one night a week not being a tit get him banned puts him back on the streets and out of the influence of the scouting movement, I was a proper little **** but a good scout I think they helped me grow out of it as they gave me a chance

im liking the pit idea but im thinking of finding some rocks or stones or even some bricks so the heat is stored in them and it helps cook with a bit more of a constant heat any recommendations for wot type of rocks/stones/bricks to use ?

just been speaking to my butcher he recons streaky bacon is the way to go and if we cook it on a spit roast then cover it in foil
