Hello , just wondered if you can advise on any where local to Cwmbran (henllys end) or Cwmcarn (forest drive) where I can set up for a night or two mid week with out upsetting local authorities?
Any one know of any where near Cwmbran or Abergavenny that also wild/ bushcraft camping?? (fires & the like) looking seen some site down towards Neath & Brecon but this is to far as restricted by public transport.
I'm sure I once heard ray mears say, there are only for seasons in a year and on average we get 80 if were lucky, only camping out in summer is just a quarter of that, that is a lot of seasons to loose...... So why not get out and read by campfire/ candle light??

Grew up not far from here in cwmbran. Spent a lot of my youth on the myndd maenads and twmbarlwm. Above henllys. Wild camping in these areas was a real blast. Gonna take my other half for a night wild camp. Here in march leaving our darling daughter with my her grandparents
Morning all!!! Been in Essex a few years now but loving nothing more than getting back to nature. Looking for people to share ideas with. Done a lot of 'camping' but looking to get back to my childhood!!! Life in the trees was great !!
