    Skin on Kayak

    Finally moving forward with this project, gunwales cut to length and shaped with the mortices for the ribs and deck beams done. The final shape will be decided when the mid forms are put in place - lots to do. Pondering the final shape from the shed roof - bliss on a nice spring day :)

    Just back from the Highlands sleeping out for a week, scenery and low temperatures similar to N Canada, Sweden, Norway etc all on our own doorstep...fantastic. Hundreds of deer on the low slopes and grouse warming their butts on clumps of heather above the snow. Tested out 4 sleeping bags...

    New Fishing Kit

    220ft of nettle and flax cordage with a 35lb breaking strain, for long line fishing with basic antler and wood composite hooks - 10lb breaking strain leaders....tight lines in a couple of weeks :).
