I made a hooded blanket shirt (see here)
I want to dye it but a little worried about how the colours turn out. tempted by a brown or green just worried it'll turn out horrid.
dry weight is just shy of 1kg so I'll need a few packs of dye which ever colour I go for.

First ever attempt at making my own clothes. Lessons learnt and a finished product that I can use. Just needs a few bits hand stitched and then dyed.

Bought a pair of the hunter trousers in XL. Foolish took all the tags off and thought they'd be ok with a belt. But have to admit they are to big. Worn once for a hill walk.
Ace trousers gonna pick them up in large.

Hosted a fathers day bushcraft course at work.
father got it for free! We talked about how to to make a fire then went into the woods to collect some fuel. While in the woods we ate wood sorrel and had a go at getting the fibres from nettles. Then it was back to the centre where I taught them...

Not sure if there are any twitchers here but thought I share a confirmed sighting of a pied billed grebe. I spotted it Easter Sunday while at work. confirmation and second sighting on Thursday. Anyway it can be seen in loch thom in inverclyde near Greenock if anyone is interested

Just had a cracking weekend under taking the BYA level 2 powerboat course, which I passed.

Finally got the keys for our new house. Living the life now. Hills to the rear and sea to the front....shame it's semi detached and not a cottage with 5acres but can't have it all eh.
Mind you living in Largs we are lowing the average age for the area lol.
