Hi all,
in a bid to try and keep the stove going overnight, I was thinking of installing a damper in the stove pipe section nearest the stove. The pipe diameter is just less than 3".
Question is how to make a damper? I have seen cast iron ones in the US that are 3" and was think that I could...
Hi all,
I have a Tentipi 9 and was after some useful advice on how to hang stuff from the central pole such as a lantern/kettle or a coat.
Any thoughts?
Does anyone use a Heatpal to heat up a tentipi varrie 9? I am debating buying a helsport stove but would like something to keep the tent warm at night.

had an itch on my back and after realising that I am no contortionist I went into the garden and go a piece of Hazel. This was the result, my take on a back scratchier. AAHHH much relief:)
So here are my first attempts at spoon making using my carvin' Jack and frosts clipper. I don't know what wood the first spoon is made of but the other 2 are hazel. They are finished with a few coats of Tung oil. Comments more than welcome.
Before going onto evilbay, I thought I would ask you chaps if anyone interested in buying some new Dunhill cigar stuff. I have a couple of cutters, cases and a lighter for sale. Also a couple of wallets and a key pouch.
Have just taken delivery of 4 of these for use by my family when camping/chow time in the woods. The best price I have ever seen £10 plus £1.50 p and p.

I was given some money and want another saw (I have a Laplander already) and saw the pocketboy. Has anyone had any experience with them? Any good?
It is unlikely that I will be able to convince my bank manager/SWMBO (same person) to buying a Tentpi Varrie 9 so I wanted to get some opinions on another solution.
My requirements are simple really.
Must sleep 8 people (actually 2 adult double beds and 2 double beds for the kids) with the...
Hello all,
has anyone had any issues with delivery of Sabre 45 rucksacks from Active8. I have been waiting for mine since July and have had no further correspondence from them i.e. they are not responding to my emails or taking any calls.:banghead:
Hi there,
can anyone give me a recommendation on an electric chainsaw (preferably) or a petrol one. mainly for cutting logs of between 3" to 13". Got around £90 to spend.
Just a quick note to say that my wife gave birth to an 8.5lb baby boy Theo today. Together with his sister (2 years old but can already say camp fire!) will ensure that bushcraft will remain in the family blood.:)
