    Rate my overnight gear

what i can say about overnight gear is; ignore it at your peril, the odd uncomfortable night through either cold, wet, insect or just general disturbance in any way you can put up with, however poor nights make for poor days in my experience, i would rather carry an extra 4kg and be comfortable...

    Serratas reduced to 210 pounds.

forgive my ignorance!..... is this knife steel similar to 01 in the rust dept? I really like the shape and style, however I have a similar knife I keep for domestics as the constant cleaning and worry of it becoming pitted and damaged got the better of me. Micarta, I love it, great material for...

Knives.... mmmmm, my EDC at the moment is a present I received from my work mates, its an 'Old Bear' Antonini, basically a posher Opinel, I still have my trusty No8 in my bag, but to be honest this is a lovely knife, and the locking mechanism is simple and old fashioned, a lot like me! Grangers Fabsil liquid waterproofer on Navy Wool Greatcoat advice please?

i imagine it stops the fibres absorbing moisture, and therefore loosening, or not tightening the weave as required to form the barrier. as I said, I'm guessing, albeit logically!

it was published by BCUK, it was a really good little treat for me, very informative, and as you can see I did take notice, I still remember the article and it struck a chord enough for me to remember where I had read it, even after all this time, I used to look forward to it coming once a...
