    Laws of open fires?

    just a quick question. i was wondering if when you were on land where there is a ban on open fires that if you contained the fire and kept off the ground whether that would be considered as a contained fire (for example like a camping gas stove) and therefore allowable? :confused:

    hi, i have used a hand drills and bow drills a few times but i have never got any embers from it. i have always put this down to doing the method wrong, after reading your posts on the subject it sounds like i used the wrong type of wood. what type of wood to you guys use?
