Pattern to make a rucksack cover

Hi all, I've been trying to find a pattern to use to make a rucksack cover - I'm sure it's straightforward so I'll make it up as I go along if I can't find one, but I'd prefer a tried-and-tested pattern if possible. Does anyone happen to have a pattern, or know where I could find a pattern?

    Rucksack Questions Bandwagon

Well everyone else seems to be asking questions about rucksacks, so I figured I'd jump in as well. :D I'm after a rucksack of about 30L-35L capacity, certainly not more, which must have nice big side pockets. I'm also wondering how to tell when a rucksack actually fits? I've never had one...

    Gloves

I'm after a pair of gloves, or maybe a system of gloves that is: very very warm, grippy, dextrous, windproof, definitely durable, and must either be waterproof or just as warm when wet. Obviously one pair of gloves isn't going to do all that, so I'm guessing a layering system of some description...

    Insoles

I have just realised why it is that my knees hurt whenever I am out walking. It's because of my boots. According to a physio, my feet are attached to my leg at a slight angle so that the outside edge of my feet naturally hang lower than the inside edge, and because of that, standing on the...

    More airgun laws

I seem to have the dubious honour of another potentially argumentative post. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4338010.stm The way I understand it, this will make private airgun sales illegal, forcing everyone selling an airgun to sell to a registered dealer, and everyone buying to buy from a...

    Arils

OK first off: Yew is a dangerous tree. Yew berries (arils) are not poisonous, but the seeds inside them are very much so. Do not eat the berries if you cannot safely remove the flesh from the seeds. I know most of you know that anyway. My question is: arils taste so nice, is there any way...

    Bananas

I've just been having a discussion with my housemates, and until I baked a banana a few nights ago they'd never heard of baking bananas, even though one of them is accustomed to occasionally baking potatoes next to a fire. I've always been under the impression that baking bananas next to a fire...

    Girl stuff!

I'm really sorry that this is one of my first posts here... But how do you girls (and for the blokes, the girls you know) cope with periods when you're out for a week or two? I can't plan to be out when I know I won't have one because they're so damn unpredictable... the same goes for my...
