We had a knifemaking camp with our Scouts (10 to 14 year olds) back in February. We got the idea from some Danish scouts and I have done kinifemaking with Explorer scouts (14-18 year olds). They make themselves a small fixed blade knife and sheath. We use Brulletto Trollungen 52mm blades...
I have been observing the red mason bees exploring my house wall. I found this dirt in one of the holes and wondered it was a bee nest then I tought I saw it move then it retracted into the dirt. So I moved away and went a while later and this is what I saw.
The hole with dirt in it.
I took this today when I visited my Scouts on camp. It is a Giant wood wasp and it was 40mm (1.5 inch).

I have realised we do not have a thread dedicated to helping people work out what id wrong with thier shots.
So here goes post a picture in this thread and people will tell you where you went wrong and what to do avoid it in future.
Or they can explain how to save it.
It helps if you explain...

I won this TK knife on BB comp a while ago but didnt like the handle it was too thin rather flat and varnished.
So I put and oak handle on it with brass pins and black liners what do you think.
