Also interested as I'm sure many others are. Would be good to know if this group buy will go ahead. Does anyone know Sandbag47 that could help shed some light on this?

I've not been on this forum for a while and just seen your post. Out of interest did you manage to do the Cowal Way?

    Insulated Trousers

Nope, my feet are too warm most of the time. I usually wear a thin liner sock with a pair of sealskinz socks over them. Never had a problem with cold feet or blisters.

    Insulated Trousers

That was one of my concerns with that type of trousers that they could tear easily. The ski trousers would be more durable and waterproof but heavier and take up more space in the pack ..... much to consider now Cheers Stuart

    Insulated Trousers

I think I'm going to wait and see if Aldi get these back in and have a look. Its looking like a toss up between Aldi and the softies at the moment. Do you know if the insulation in these are down or synthetic? Thanks Stuart

    Insulated Trousers

They would do the trick, but I like the of pulling the trousers over what your already wearing for the extra layer rather than stripping off to put the long johns on. Trust me not many people would suffer that sight lightly! :yuck: Cheers Stuart

The onsie sleeping bag! http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2037703.htm. Yep bet he got some funny looks in that. Carrying an extra 9kg would definetly not be an option for me. I'm trying to cut down on the weight just now and I was thinking the insulated trousers would help by...

    Insulated Trousers

So I was out the other night in the hammock, and to be fair I haven't had a lot of time in the hammock, but I cannot get used to being restricted in a sleeping bag in the hammock. The obvious solution would be to get an under quilt. But I was thinking about getting a pair of down/synthetic...

West Highland Way - any advice for a solo wild camp trip?

I'm trying to make time to do the WHW this year as well but with the way things are looking it maybe next year now. Yesterday I packed the kit I would take and headed off to do the Glen Loin Loop, excluding food (I intend to take roughly the food as shown by Paul Kirtley...
