Hi folks.
The time has come to part with my Singer 15-91. It's fully functional with a potted motor and is mounted in a lovely (but not very bushcrafty) library table with a matching stool.
I'm asking £40 and obviously it will need to be collected. I'm based just in Staffordshire...
As a boy in Africa, my mother would iron everything, bedsheets in particular, to kill the bedbugs, fleas and other visitors.
How about microwaving stuff?

I tend to make up names for paths and places I frequent in the woods. A particular brambly badger track has been named "Hopeful Pass" as it is the last place I remember having my Svord Peasant.

Burning waste on an open fire is not likely to destroy all the unpleasant chemical residues and will most likely create some that weren't there. The regulations for incinerators stipulate a temperature of 850°C (or 1100°C for halogenated organic substances).You might be able to get your fire up...
Wifey is on her second Zafira. I think of it as a Swiss Army Knife car. None of it's abilities are class leaders, but it is a Jack of all trades. Great to be able to take a couple of the kids friends along on a trip or offer lifts to the pub. And then again you can stuff furniture in the back...
