For Sale Esse 4 hm and Enzo Trapper 95

Hi, I'm selling a brand new Esse 4hm, totally unused, and an Enzo Trapper 95, also with a flat grind and green micarta handles. Very little use. Trying to thin out the collection after Christmas. £100 for the Esse and £80 for the Enzo. Many thanks. Pm if interested.

Gorka 3 Russian Army Mountain Suit

I thought I’d just write a quick review of the Gorka 3 Russian army mountain suit by Bars. These suits have become readily available on eBay and take about a week to arrive from Russia. Average price seems to be around £60, which is not bad for a pair of trousers and a jacket. They are made from...

    Surplus parkas

I had a Dutch parka for many years, similar to the German, with a removable fleece lining. Not sure how easy they are to get hold of now days. Another option, which I have also got, is an Austrian M65, very easy to get hold of, and easy to mod so as to attach a US M65 jacket liner for cold weather.

The 'I've found a bargain' thread

Just bought a 100% merino wool jumper on eBay brand new £9.95. came today, very happy with it, I think it will work well as a base layer rather than an actual jumper, feels comfy and fits well. If I had a clue how tomorrow links i woukd but it was listed as: MENS 100% MERINO WOOL JUMPER PULLOVER...

    Carinthia defence 4 query

I've used the D4 together with the old army lightweight 'jungle' bag in a bivi bag, it was about -8 and it was overkill, I was rediculously warm.

    Winter sleeping bag

I use a Carinthia Defence 4 in a hammock when it's cold. Great sleeping bag and has a central zip, which I much prefer in all senarios but especially in a hammock.

    Ventile "SAS" style jacket

Just for your info, the first issue Mk1 mtp smock is exactly the same as the last issue DPM smock. You can find them on e bay sometimes. Having said 'the same' I think the fabric might be a bit lighter, it's a point of contention. Returning to the topic, I think if you recreated the solder 95...

    M65 jacket advice.

Hi, I bought an Alpha M65 last year from Silvermans. It is a nice jacket, but ultimately I sold it on. I actually prefer the Austrian M65 and have written a review on it elsewhere on this site (you might want to take a look). As for the Alpha M65, I didn't think it was worth the money really. I...

    Smock heads up

I just got one of these from a company on eBay called Barny Vs. Very well made in a pollycotton gabardine material, light, wind proof and quick drying. No connection at all to company, just thought some might be interested.

Mk1 MTP British Army Smock 180/104

Hi I have the above smock in very good condition. Would ideally like to swap for the same (Mk1 mtp) in very good condition but size 170/104. Not interested in any other type of British army smock, but might consider other smocks. Cheers, inky

    Bushcraft Anorak Options?

If you dyed the red green you might get something brownish that will work?

The Best Jacket for BushCraft – Part 1.

the op has probably been berated enough his verbiage so leaving that to one side and returning to the topic, this question of jackets always ends up going round in circles. It's largely a matter of the best bushcraft jacket for YOU, rather than anything more objective. Personally I prefer cheap...

    Central Zipped Sleeping Bags

+1 for Corinthia defence 4. I was in a similar position, the small face hole on the Corinthia put me off for ages but as soon as you get in its not a problem at all and it's a lovely warm ad durable bag.
