I guess you missed the bit 2 lines below what you quoted.
There have been takers for the feathers.
Mods can you please close the thread before it gets silly.

They are lovely looking birds but they do nest raid as mentioned above. There are loads of them here (far more than when I was young) and since I've been shooting these and magpies I've noticed an increase in songbirds in the area.
Grey squirrels and woodies also get shot but that's because...
Is anyone on here into fly tying and would like a pair of Jay wings?
I've just knocked on off the bird feeder in the garden and was wondering if the feathers/wings would be of use to anyone.
I have no idea which bits people use or what to do to them. If you want them let me know.
I don't want...
If its hardened/safety glass won't it shatter if you try to cut it?
I'm no expert but I think that is what happens:confused:
Would be worth looking up before trying.

That (sledge head) looks very similar to one dad has on the farm for fencing. It's probably OK for post bashing but that's it. I has a big chunk cracked off one edge from when they hit something else with it.
My mum used a ref's whistle to get me, my sister and my dad back for meal times. Could be heard from most places on the farm. It's still hanging on a nail just by the back door :)
I've just measured the spare jet for my dragonfly and it's 9.3mm diameter or .366" and as far as I could make out about 24TPI. So could be 3/8" UNF?
Hope that helps. I know that the dragonfly uses a different sized pump from standard so may have different jets:confused:

Have you asked the estate?
If you don't ask you won't get permission... Worst they can say is "no".
I would leave the fire bits out until you have been a few times and built some trust. People get nervy about people they don't know starting fires on their land.
Just my opinion.
