I've been searching for the last two weeks and one of the biggest problems as noted above may be the ability to service and repair one if needed. I'm going to keep looking but compromise may have to be a low profile manual wind wrist watch instead.

No way could I justify almost €1200 on a knife. I just want to scratch the "hollow" handle itch and always loved the CR knives but I'd be loathe to use it if spending that much. Must have a look around for a decent alternative. I think Martin knives made some cool survival knives.
There is a guy called Longstrider that used do some great sharpening and regrinding jobs. I still see him on stalking directory, not sure if he is here.
