Thanks for organising this, was great to meet you all and learn some things first hand rather than via YouTube for a change.
Biggest lesson learnt was that I need to sleep behind a mozzie net, I'm still suffering from the dozens of bites, was I just invited as bait [emoji6]

I'm in the market for a tarp and have been considering the DD 3x3 and "superlight" version of similar size.
These are obviously much cheaper than yours but I feel yours must be better I just don't really know in what way.
Size and weight seem similar, can you offer some advice?
I've just got back from a friend's place where I used his Mora spoon knife. The edge was far sharper and the bevel on the back of the back of the blade really helped when working on the bottom of the bowl.
I think I'll have a go at removing some of the material from the back of the blade using...
I ordered this set a couple of weeks ago, I couldn't find much information on it so now it's here i thought I'd share my initial impressions with you.
I'm not an experienced wood carver but tried wood carving on a general bushcraft course and decided that it was something I'd like to spend...
@Alan De Enfield thanks for sharing your kit list, really interesting.

I like your advice about using my...
Thanks for the reply, here is the start of my kit list.
It's funny you sent me that YouTube link as I was watching that yesterday and it's where I took inspiration for the PLCE pouches. I struggle to fit a 750ml bottle in my current side pockets where as Paul's fit loads of stuff in.
I've...
I'm new to bushcraft and after 2 outings, one overnighter and a Woodland Ways course I've realised my 35 litre hiking backpack (https://www.livefortheoutdoors.com/gear-reviews/rucksacks/articles/Gear-Reviews/Search-Results/Rucksacks/Eurohike-Aqua-Revolution-35) isn't big enough to comfortably...
Got back from the course, had an amazing time, highly recommended!
The teaching was first rate, the woods were of a good size and with a wide range of different tree, plant and animal species.
Ate and prepare lots of game and foraged plants, attempted fire by friction, tried my hand at willow...
