    Show me your faithful EDC

My go to EDC... The alox farmer is in my pocket wherever I go, and the Recon 1 is generally in my pocket when I'm working around the garden/ house/ shed or anywhere else I have a valid reason to carry a locking blade. The S35VN steel has stood up to every task that I've thrown at it so far...

    Traits of leadership.

When I was a section commander in the army I would never have asked or expected anyone to do anything that I wouldn't do myself...lead by example. Sent from my SM-G996B using Tapatalk

    Small spirit stove

I'll second that about Speedster stoves. Just bought one a couple of weeks ago in an effort to try and lighten my long distance hiking load out a bit. If you search for my YouTube channel 'Allan Shillinglaw' I've done a video on it, the set up, weight etc. Again, no affiliation etc, just...

Cheers for the links [emoji1360] decent website. Haha, yeah I did also notice the stirring implement that you also ordered....decent prices too. Arktis Swat Shirt

Yeah I must say the Paramo/Buffalo combo was pretty warm, and generally a merino baselayer is sufficient for most winter situations. Give me Paramo over Gore tex any day of the week though, I've never found Gore tex breathable when I've got a proper sweat on. Haha I know the old Paramo fleeces...

    Arktis Swat Shirt

I have a Paramo jacket which I also use as my winter outer rain layer, I think it's the Helki jacket. I've had it a few years now. It's also the older, heavier fabric in moss green, but comes up like new with a wash with nikwax tec wash and tec proof. The old Buffalo under that worked a treat...

    Arktis Swat Shirt

Wish I had the money to just buy one of each garment online, try them all on, then keep the one that suited me best and send the others back, but unfortunately I don't. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Uk knives from the 1980’s onwards, how thing change

I don't think I should've owned one either...especially as I was only about 12 at the time [emoji23] but that didn't really matter back then! Still, learned most of my fundamental knife skills on blades like these. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Uk knives from the 1980’s onwards, how thing change

The knife of choice for me in my youth was the old cheap Chinese hollow handled "survival" knife with the big ball compass on the pommel. The steel was so soft the tip would bend. The amount of times I cut my fingers trying to sharpen the blade with that tiny oilstone! Never did manage to catch...
