For Sale Berghaus Cyclops 2 Vulcan Rucksack **SOLD**

Hi Matt, Yeah no problem at all, I'll get some photos up of the interior of it. And there are indeed no holes or rips, and I've had it for about 7 years. As I said I have always looked after it and it has never had any really heavy duty use. I'm away from home for the weekend with work, so...

Thin buffalo top - anything from other brands too?

Have you ever considered the PCS Thermal Smock? Great piece of kit, ideal for when it's just too mild for a Buffalo, and also pretty shower proof too. The only downside is that it's issue kit and a people generally don't like wearing issue kit, but for dog walks and such like around the local...

    Battery Charger help please

Have a search on YouTube mate for a fella doing a review on solar chargers....I seem to remember that there's a video on there and the guy claims that the solar chargers don't output enough amperage to charge up a power bank. The scenario was that he was using the solar charger to charge the...

So can we go camping ? Scotland.

When they eased part of the lockdown in England last week but didn't permit wild camping, overnight fishing was allowed though. Good if you're a carp or pike fisherman, can't really see why they won't allow wildcamping, which is the ultimate in self isolation. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

So can we go camping ? Scotland.

Aye good point, Tinto is even too far away from me too [emoji31] I'd need to drive to that. We'd be about 10 miles or so from it too. A hike down Calderglen again it is then! Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

So can we go camping ? Scotland.

Thanks for uploading the link for that Mary, just had a quick scan through it, will have a thorough read later. Seems that it's looking good for a hike up Tinto next weekend weather permitting. Still not sure about an overnight wildcamp though, as I would need to drive to my favourite haunts...

So can we go camping ? Scotland.

Yeah I know what you mean Scott, I'm a fisherman too and I'm hoping to combine both hobbies, but I won't wildcamp of course until I can find a definitive answer. It's just not worth the hassle of getting caught and fined. I will post on here if I find anything out. All the best, Allan Sent...

So can we go camping ? Scotland.

I'll be watching this closely for this reason too, as I am bursting to get out a bit of wildcamping also. I reckon it's going to be a grey area at first as it was down in England, until the authorities started issuing fines to people who were out wildcamping in the Lake District and Peak...

    Good fjallraven 'trouser' alternatives

Hi, I’ll second the Helikon brand...Urban Tactical Pants are the ones I wear. Excellent hard wearing rip stop, slightly stretchy material. Plenty of different colours available, and you’ll struggle not to find your size. Sizing is also pretty generous. Plenty of pockets and wear points, you...

Not Bushcraft - socks, have they become less durable?

Hi Paul, I would highly recommend British Army issue Arctic socks, the cream coloured ones with the thin red line around the top of them. I still have the 5 pairs that I was issued, and I left 12 years ago. I only wear them in the winter these days to my work though. Great, hard wearing socks...

    Wild camp spots

Galloway Forest National Park is my wild camping area of choice. It's absolutely vast, and you're spoiled for choice with many different types of terrain. Depending on where you go, you may not even encounter another soul, which is normally my aim when selecting an area to camp. Get yourself an...

    Sunsets

You're welcome Sir I'm in Orkney at the moment, a small group of Islands just north of Scotland. I did notice yesterday morning's sunrise was hazier than normal...more than likely a result of the fires. The thought that this was the reason for the haze hadn't even crossed my mind until I...
