Here's some more axes that I bought a few years ago too!!
L to R-
Plumbs US 1942 (military axe I was told)..
Speare & Jackson made here in Sheffield!
Swift (also made here in Sheff!!)
Kent pattern, not sure where it was made
A few more bootsale bargains had over the years...
Hi all
some of the stuff I found at my local bootsale :bigok:
Gorgeous Vintage Les Paul style guitar- cleaned up lovely and plays dead creamy
Bargain at £15!! :Wow:
BSA Scorpion in .22....
Nice Armani watch, fantastic quality case/bracelet ;)
Needs a clean and a battery, a 616...
Try filing it!!
If it files easily then it will most likely be mild steel, if it skates across without biting then it will be carbon steel and good for an axe ;)
John:)
Something i've always wondered about Hatchets/axes, are they the same thing or is a hatchet different to an axe???:confused:
Cheers, John :)
Jeez!! I had that pic painted on the boot of my old Mk1 Ford Escort by my brother years ago!!
Trouble was that it was before Digital cameras and getting film processed was a pain so no pics :(
He does custom painting for a living!!
John :)
WOW!!
You're very talented mate, all are beautiful!! Being in to guns, the sling is my favourite item of those, simply stunning :bigok:
Cheers, John :)
Hi
if anyone has a mould for making catty ammo of around 8/10mm that they're not using, let me know what sort of stuff you would be interested in trading please :thankyou:
I have various pocketknives, watches and other bits for trade..
Cheers, John :)
Nothing as nice as any of the previous axes in my pics i'm afraid :(
There's Plumbs, Spear & Jackson, Swift and an old Kent style..
I have this strange thing somewhere in the garage! I think it was an engineers hammer that was forged in to an axe!!
In truth, I don't really know what it...
Forgot to say- Thanks for all the info!!
It seems like a minefield getting in to this, all the info will make it much easier i'm sure!!
Once again, Many thanks, John :)
Hi SM
I have around 75 rifles and a fair few of them have leather slings but a friend nipped over the pennines to see me and showed me one that he'd made and it was fantastic!!
He said that he'd make me a couple but he's quite ill and i'd rather not put on him..
I just like my guns to be...
Hi all
I have a fair few air rifles and recently (Back end of last year) saw a fantastic paracord sling on one!!
I think they would have been a tad expensive to buy as I want around a dozen!! :o so I had the thought of 'having a bash' myself but have no idea where to buy paracord from...
