I'm waiting until Scotland reopens and we'll be doing the NC500 IN the motorhome. And who knows, the BCP might still be here. I'm lucky enough not having to sell. Just couldn't see my pride gathering dust in the barn.
Unfortunately the time has come for me to give up canoeing. So I'm selling my BCP16. Dodgy knees and hip as well as my back just won't let me anymore.
The canoe has the usual scrapes and bumps but is structurally sound. It's Royalex and weighs a mere 21kg. It comes with an original Bell kneeling...

Other options are Kevlar or Royalex canoes. I've got a Bell Chestnut Prospector that weighs only 21 kg
Just as I thought, as long as it's the whisky bits of a paper birch. The question really came from my neighbour who planted a paper birch 6 years ago .

This is probably a stupid question but, if I use and peel off the thin layers of bark of a young silver birch, does it grow back? I only take off what's already loose ?

Cut a log off of some birch tree that had just been felled. Did a video at the time. I'm pleased as I did it all by hand, no machines. Just put some stain on that I found in the neighbour's shed. Kind of "reappropriation !!
