    Review of Worksharp field sharpener

OK so I am not the most dexterous chap and am certainly not one to get all aroused about angles and micro bevels, each to their own eh ? BUT I do like a sharp knife. At home the Spyderco sharpmaker does a grand job, but when travelling or just away for a weekend I have tried many field...

Overseas A tricky year to travel

Well, things have moved on and so have we. First new home was shall we say, filthy, dirty, smelly and illegal. We are now in a castle dating to 13C being restored by its owners, who both work in this field. Much better !

Filson customer service, or not ?

OK to clarify..... We are spending the winter in Bavaria, I ordered dressing gowns as Christmas gifts for myself and my wife. Filson had a holiday bonus offer which meant spend X get a voucher for Y When the voucher finally arrived, I assumed one copied the whole code into the appropriate place...

    Breeks - who wears them

Would love to find some decent breeks, the old Rohan striders were bloody great, but apart from those you mention cannot find any.

Filson customer service, or not ?

Well I have always liked the look of it, but very costly. However, on our travels in deep Bavaria, dressing gowns at home, and a so called holiday bonus ie spend a-ton of cash, get a big voucher. So, I thought why not ? Bought us both a nice flannel dressing gown as Chrissy presents, dont tell...

Overseas A tricky year to travel

Thanks ! we are a bit worried that if lockdown tightens this week it may be tricky to stay but we shall see what is announced. There is a good feel to it all, our hosts need help, they accomodate and feed us, and we are letting someone house sit for free at home, so everybody benefits. If only...

Vest, gilet, waistcoat....review and plea for wisdom

Whilst catching up.........I have just bought a Carhartt vest out here, its warm fleece canvas outer, about 70 Euros, nowhere near as smart ir nice as the SK wool vest, but proving to be a good tough work horse.

Stormy Kromer wool vest 6 month review

Sorry for the delay, we are in Germany and I dont look here as often as I should. In the end I just bought it direct from SK in the US, it was the easiest option and came quite quickly. It seems hard to find any UK dealer with a decent selection of their stuff.
