Both of the axes I own would be pretty good for that challenge so I might copy. One by Dave Budd and the other I forged on one of Dave’s courses. Could work well I think.
I used to live near Trevor’s workshop in Sheffield & eventually had enough spare cash to order that knife. He made it exactly as I wanted it and I’ve always loved it.
Getting tempted with a couple of the new generation of knife makers in Sheffield now too, so may commission a new one in ‘24.

I have a rotation on EDC
Spyderco Urban. ( might cry if I lost it)
Rough Ryder Canoe. ( might get another if I lost it )
Rough Ryder Reserve Barback. ( my favourite of the three. Great little knife if a bit pricy for a RR. )
If I could guarantee I wouldn’t lose it I’d give my Trevor Ablett...
Unusually for me I was apparently not on the Naughty list this year.
Santa’s Star Prize: 2 days forging a Damascus knife in sunny North Yorkshire. Can’t wait.
I hope you all got your perfect presents too.
Happy New Year,

Rough Ryder Reserve Barback for me everyday edc in my pocket. If I’m on my way to work ( at the bar ) it is joined by a Laguiole knife with a corkscrew which isn’t really Uk edc legal, but I have good reason to carry to work.
Sorry Tengu.
I’ve turned the junk boxes upside down & no sign of that golf ball. If it shows up I’ll let you know. May have got lost when we moved house.

I think the side pockets are a little lower on mine and both side pockets have space between them and the body of the pack to accommodate an axe and/or a saw or maybe a canoe paddle ( which is what I used one of them for).

Especially the white handled pair. They remind me of a rural Italian pocket knife I owned many years ago. Not the extended liners of course, but the overall profile.
That knife was pretty basic, but the only other French ones I have are Laguiole, which have a snap...
Hi all.
Thinking I need to let my Duluth pack go as I’ve not really used it for over a year.
Trouble is I don’t know which one it is. In very good nick but has a few stains here & there. Built to last!
Any help much appreciated so I can work out a price to ask for it.
Thanks in advance.
