your point is both agreeing with what I had said and disagreeing at the same time. as we both said (in diferent words) It depends on what you veiw as camping.
I don't drive, or live close to a locale where can just pop off for a quick overnight. every trip I plan has about 5-7km of walking...

I recently ordered a few sheets of birch bark when it was on sale with Brisaknives for the very reson that finding some thick enough in our climate is a challenge, and the only trees in my locale with suitable bark are still-living trees in neighbours gardens.

out of curriosity how did you attach the handle to the coconut cup? i've had a hollowed/out sawn one for ages that was supposed to b a hawian knee drum untill i realised how dificult it was to get shark skin.

A mate of mine went on a shooting safari to africa a few years ago and gave me a couple of porqupine (spelling?) Quills. I've recently unearthed them in a tidy and am now looking for ideas on what i could use them for, and am drawing a blank.
