Looks like the H25LR is advertised in China (Ali Express) and that's sold as the D25LR on Amazon US and DE (presumably elsewhere in Europe too). There doesn't seem to be a UK version though.
Or is the D a newer version? Some of the adverts use the model names interchangeably!

It probably isn't a scam, rather it's their way of ramping up their products in Amazon's listings as on the face of it it looks like genuine purchases by customers.
I imagine if you go through with it, they may press heavily for an Amazon review from you, even if it's just a product rating...

I'd be irked by that change too - reducing the cutting edge and moving the start of it further away from the handle can surely only mean a reduction in performance?
The definition of a 'blade' and 'cutting edge' have long bothered me. Dismantle it, and not only is the blade longer than what's exposed when it's assembled, but it's also surely now a fixed blade given it's no longer part of a folding knife. But then hasn't the item been modified in the process...
I suspect it's the lack of age verification service for a fixed blade knife that's triggered this, rather than the standalone nature of the knives sent.
