The jaws on those do look rather good, if somewhat limited in their opening arc.
I'm not sure that they're necessarily an example of American craftsmanship though - I thought most of Gerber's multitools were made abroad, principally China.
@Woody girl May I ask how you are accessing the forum, e.g. through an app like Tapatalk or are you using a web browsing app like Chrome, or Samsung Internet or something else?
That is appalling. Excellent result but appalling from them. Very useful to know about the age verification not offering protection from this kind of overreach.
My concern is that even if Mervg had used the age verified service, they would have still seized and apparently destroyed the knives, given their letter makes no mention of the lack of age verification being the issue.
The ones I've sent using age verification were far less traditional knives...
Aris, I'm not incorrect. However, why you're conflating scissors with non-locking folding knives is beyond me.
I am only talking about non-locking folding knives with cutting edges of 3 inches or less.

It's because when they say 'excludes folding pocket knives' they mean non-lockers. They are correct in that non-locking knives with a cutting edge of 3 inches or less can be sold to people under the age of 18. They, rather like the legislation, don't see locking knives as folding knives. They...
Would this idea work for you, perhaps with the original sheath mounted to this? I think it's an absolutely bonkers idea for what the pictures show (a small pocket knife or pocket torch clipped to...not a pocket but this chunk of leather) but might work rather more sensibly for a sheath knife...
That is far more worrying given it doesn't appear to be related to posting it without age verification. Not good.
The fact that there is no appeals process is appalling; I suspect only a court case or sufficient negative publicity will make them introduce such a process though.
