ive recently bought a rechargeable fly zapper from ebay for about £8
its shaped like a small tennis racquet, makes a loud crack and gives off sparks when it makes contact with a bug.
im finding it quite entertaining to use.

regarding folding knives closing up in use, ive picked up Chinese knives for a few quid that are copies of Chris Reeve Knives etc that are of impressively good quality for the money.
for less than a tenner id be happy to edc at the risk having them confiscated.
other than the obvious, a Victorinox credit card tool, which i found very disappointing compared to Vics usual quality. but then they are limited to a space the size of a credit card, so understandable.
a couple of different sized safety pins and a hair grip.
