What are your favourite pocket knives?

a Spyderco Urban has been my daily for years. its such a well designed knife for the UK. light enough to be unnoticeable in the pocket, small enough not to bother people, has a deep carry clip, and is easy use one handed. i really prefer the look of traditional pocket knives though and have...

My probably annual winter jacket recommendation thread!!

ive been wearing Craghoppers 3in1 jackets for years. i pick them up when they are on sale, and they are reasonably priced. i find them an excellent all year coat. versatile, warm, and waterproof.

    Cheap wax jackets

wore the new coat out today for the first time. no rain, but a strong wind. found the coat to be very comfortable and quite warm. definitely not a summer item. four decent sized outer pockets and a phone and poachers pocket on the inside. think i got myself a bit of a bargain providing it is...

    Cheap wax jackets

it turned up today. initial impressions- fairly thin, that is compared to my partners drizabone. the zip feels a bit stiff and cheap. hopefully time or lube will cure this. but it does have a handy ring pull on it. the padding seems to be quite effective, almost as soon as i zipped the coat up i...

    Cheap wax jackets

Gortex i find is good if you dont mind buying new coats regularly and just want them for light duties. unfortunately the man made materials arent nowhere near as hard wearing as the natural stuff.

    Cheap wax jackets

ive just ordered a wax jacket with detachable hood for dog walking. got it from new forest clothing. cost £40 in the sale and has plenty of good reviews. https://www.newforestclothing.co.uk/collections/january-sale/products/padded-wax-jacket?_pos=15&_fid=812e1e4bb&_ss=c&variant=40115855950015

im a shortie so unfortunately would look comical in one, same problem with full length stockmans coats. i might get away with a peacoat though
