    Homestead or smallholding?

We have 2.5 acres and call it a small holding. Also a hobby farm. Keep sheep, pigs and various mainly ornamental birds. Also a small veg plot and various bits of machinery. Need a real job to pay the bills and buy the animal feed though!

Water collection options for the garden?

For a garden scenario, and if you have space, I would look on facebook marketplace or similar for some plastic pallets, stack a few on top of each other near a guttering downpipes, and then put an IBC on top. That should give you enough height to gravity feed a small veg plot or similar.

Preparing for troubled times ahead - Advice on what is needed.....

Having a generator, and using it when it is likely to attract the wrong attention are two different things, to rule out having one based on one unlikely eventuality which could be avoided by simply not using the generator in that situation seems silly.

    Reloading your own cartridges.

Strangely, I got pretty good accuracy with Magtech factory loads, which were just a hollow cup type slug, in front of a fibre wad!

A friends father accepted a caution for having a lock knife on him with no legal reason, he now struggles with car insurance and other things like that. Definitely being aware of what you can and shouldn't carry.
