Yes, it seems finding a depot that sells it via a forecourt pump is the way to go. I've google-fu'd but can't find any in my area. Anyone know of any in either mid/north Wales or the London/Herts /Bucks areas?
I'm on the look out for a source of paraffin at a competitive price. So far, the best deal I've come across is £4.99 for 4 litres of C1 paraffin.
Any suggestions as to where I could find it cheaper or is that the best deal out there?
As I don't think there is duty levied on paraffin it seems...
I sympathise. I've battled them for years. You just have to make sure your wool is out of reach. Simple large plastic bags can do the trick as well as zip up bags and suitcases.
Afraid things have overtaken me and I can't make this. Have a good one, enjoy TORM and the obvious good company on offer around the fire. I hope to see you at the next one.
Well said John and plenty of other interesting comments too.
I too find I enjoy life more as I get older. I think it's to do with thinking less about the future and living more in the moment.
Hand wash using soap flakes or wool-friendly detergent, widely available.
I have use the wool cycle too. Modern washing machines are very good in this respect.
One thing, if you're handwashing wash in warm water and rinse in cooler water but not ice cold straight from the tap. Wool does not...
I have a separate pump liner which I've worn underneath a ventile jacket and the experience is similar to Paramo stuff except you have the pleasure of wearing an outer layer made of natural fibres.
