    Good but reasonably priced rucksack?

Yup. Lowe Alpine Systems Mountain attack 50l pack. All my kit, clothes, some of my food (I did a resupply run half way through) archery gear, and drink. Whenever you go away on an outing, when you get back pile up your stuff into three piles. 1. The stuff you used. 2. the stuff you didn't...

    Good but reasonably priced rucksack?

I get on fine with a 40-55l, I've done the moot several times with a pack that size.

    Cooking items?

I use one of these as a plate. You can use it as a frying pan, but it's a bit thin for good heat distribution. That said, I have used it as such...

    Good but reasonably priced rucksack?

Have a look in Tesco, their rucksacks aren't too bad, they do a fairly decent 45L one. I've got their hydration pack and it's pretty good.

    Ebay are irritating Morons.

I can't even get stuff sent out to Saudi. Since I've got a UK account I can't buy blades etc even if I'm not sending them to the UK. Very irritating.

Iceland Vs Look What We Found meals

I've used similar pouches that I got in Tesco in the ethnic food shelf area. Very cheap, and not bad tasting. In my experience, the LWWF meals are great tasting, but the portion size is a little small after a day out in the woods.

    customs, import type

It depends on the knife to be honest. If it's a fixed blade you should be ok, barring the chance of getting hit for customs charges. Folding knife, you're on shaky ground. HMRC have a very broad interpretation of "Gravity Knife" (a banned item) and will seize many knives that are not of that...

    Survive That!

So far it's all been inside the US. Puerto Rican jungle, then Alaskan wilderness. Solves the passport issue. To be fair, within the boundaries of US territory you can find pretty much any terrain.

    Survive That!

I found an interesting program on Discovery a few weeks ago. Survive That! The basic premise is that there is a group of survival experts. they take it in turn to be kidnapped by the others and dumped with no warning in an unfamiliar envieoment, then have 100hrs to get themselves out. They are...

    Hollow handle knife contents.

As with most survival kits, you need to focus on the things that will kill you fastest. Barring bleeding out or suffocating, the cold/exposure will get you first. so something to construct a shelter and a fire. dehydration is probably next, so collecting and purifying water is the next priority...

    Hollow handle knife contents.

I'd not bother with the fishing stuff unless I had room to spare. I fill drinking straws with cotton wool/vasaline and heat seal the ends for use in kits. combined with a small firesteel. Wrap the handle with kevlar thread and then cover with a section of inner tube. You could also use brass...
