    Article: Pathfinder cookset

Pathfinder sells the kit in a decent looking shoulder bag. There are two different lids available too, one with holes, one without. I could spend serious amounts of cash in that shop....... :D

I don't know, My Crusader Cup is in the UK. I'm planning to give it a good road test when I'm on holiday next month. I'm very impressed so far.

    Slowly cooked for two days.

I'm on the other side of the country, but yes, if you go a few miles inland the humidity drops significantly.

    Slowly cooked for two days.

In high summer it can get to 50+ with 100% humidity, The area I'm in was officially the hottest place on the planet for perceived temperature a few years ago.

    Folding Kukri?

The design borrows heavily from the old case folding bowie, also the Cold Steel Triple Action, both UK Legal (with good reason as both are locking blades)

I actually collaborated on the design he credits for his inspiration, from the Cold Steel Forum. :D

    Blacks on the blacklist

I'm sorry Juliah, you're being entirely unreasonable here. The shop offered to take them back and gave a quite reasonable time frame for repair or replacement. The fact that you showed up at the shop wearing the shoes did absolutely nothing for your case. You have the right to repair or...

    Petzl E+lite

I have one, it's ok for occasional use, which is what it's designed for, it'd probably be ok of around camp, but it has very little throw to the light as there is no reflector. I keep mine in my first aid kit these days.

    Candle's in tent's

Conversely, in my experience, my candle lantern (An UCO lantern) gives out enough heat to make a significant difference in a tent. I've used it in winter in Scotland, and it definitely made an appreciable difference. The tent was a Wynnster firefly 2 (as I recall)

An old tyre, an aid to log splitting?

There is absolutely no bounce in an old tyre sidewall. It's probably safer than just having a chopping block.

    gerber ultimate survival knife

Opinions are mixed, but most people I know who have handled/used one are fairly impressed. There is a pretty extensive review on the knife on BCUK somewhere, which was quite positive.

    Ice axe loops

Yes and Yes. I've carried an ice axe, I also use them for walking poles, and I've carried a take down bow and a GB SFA in them as well. Useful things.

loan of flintlock pistol. or possible trade for item of same description

There is a pan on the side with a small hole leading to the barrel. It's covered by a lid called the frizzen. This keeps the powder in, and gives some protection from the elements. When the hammer holding the flint falls, it strikes the face of the frizzen, which flips it open, and allows sparks...

    Wanted Benchmade Folding Dive Knife.

If it's for diving, have you considered the Spyderco H1 series? I use an Atlantic Salt as a dive knife, and it's brilliant. More corrosion resistant too.
