Montane Terra worn 6 days a week for 4 years. Second pair of Montane Terras 5 years so far and still going strong. Not cheap but they have outlasted any other trousers I have ever owned and they are very comfortable and fast drying.

Unless Iam totally missing something (quite likely!) I don’t see any real advantages to wearing this type of garment.

Good to meet you Bob and welcome!
I’m in Mid Wales here and shortly about to go into Level 4 lockdown but luckily I live out of town a bit so the countryside is in my door step :-)

In 2021 I really need to up my game as currently I take a tent that weights about 3Kgs, an inflatable air mat that weights about 1.2Kgs and a down sleeping bag that easily weights about 2.5Kgs so before you count anything else I am carrying over 6Kgs!
Really looking at reducing this weight...
I would have to check but I’m pretty sure I am using the one that came with it and it works just fine to compress everything down so it doesn’t take up too much space

It really depends on how much time you take to put it away and if you have a decent compression sack for it. With a bit of extra time, practise and a good compression sack it will all compress down nicely and not take up much room

Perfect replacement for the pair I lost and Cotswold had them listed at the wrong price which they honoured so got a bargain!!

The one recommendation I would make is unless you really just don’t buy one over the internet but go to a shop where you can try some on
