I use the same material as seen in this video: https://binged.it/2rV9KQE You can look at fibre glass if you need more flexibility but that is a little heavier.

if you want rustfree and light, you might also want to consider carbon fiber. I bought it at a kite shop and they had different diameters and lengths.

if you take the ferry from Harwich to Rotterdam / Hoek van Holland, you can drive in 12 hours to Fredrikshaven in Denmark and take the ferry to Oslo. Another option is to drive from Rotterdam to Kiel in Germany and take the ferry to Goteborg in Sweden and drive from there to Norway.

I don't know where you can see/try them, but i have had those pants. I didn't like the pockets/zippers and the material felt a little too 'plastic' for my taste. The pants also were uncomfortable to me, but that is personal preference. I do own other Klättermusen gear i like, but the gere pants...

Made it myself, the leather sheath that came with the knife got too loose.
