You can look at fibre glass if you need more flexibility but that is a little heavier.
if you take the ferry from Harwich to Rotterdam / Hoek van Holland, you can drive in 12 hours to Fredrikshaven in Denmark and take the ferry to Oslo.
Another option is to drive from Rotterdam to Kiel in Germany and take the ferry to Goteborg in Sweden and drive from there to Norway.
I don't know where you can see/try them, but i have had those pants. I didn't like the pockets/zippers and the material felt a little too 'plastic' for my taste. The pants also were uncomfortable to me, but that is personal preference. I do own other Klättermusen gear i like, but the gere pants...
