I would buy an underquilt that is rated for cold wheather. -5 is probably not a comfort zone for the DD but more of a limit. Adding another DD blanket will probably not work because it won't fit great if you attach 2 underblankets and they will still not be comfortable at -5.

I wear a merino baselayer, if needed a wool sweater, and a wool jacket. A wool jacket will take some rain with no problem but when raining hard for a long time i will just wear a 100% waterproof jacket with a lot of zippers. So no goretex or any other overpriced "technical" gear.
A Mora can do fine but as it is mass-produced will be more of a disposable tool for most people, whereas a custom knife will be something that you'd expect to enjoy using and owning for a very long time. If you think of it that way, that "expensive" custom knife is more that just another tool...
I bought it from Rob himself in 2018. I have used it a lot so don't expect a new looking knife. The edge is in perfect condition though. Considering selling because work is slow right now and i could use the funds...
I pre-ordered one in Germany. It comes available in a week or 2.
Ii combined a SAK myself with a saw, scissors, knife and awl. Which is my go to outdoors SAK.
