I've tried suspending a blanket underneath - works better than nothing but it's insulation you're after and simple fabric won't give you enough when it gets cold. I've also got a fairly heavy windshield that surrounds the hammock and stops the warm layer I've built up from dissipating in a cold...

The little knife and BCUK patch were a nice touch but the star of the show was the sewing kit. Top stopper comes out and there are a load of needles inside. Would have been pleased to have got this without the buckle!

Arrived today. Buckle will be handy but the mystery gift is fantastic - am I allowed to reveal what it was?

I think the stitching would look good on the flap but I like it anyway.

Well, this morning all the poisoned bait was gone from the wheelwell in the boot and the trap was sprung, but no rat in it. At least it means I'm not going mad and the dogs aren't the ones who have taken the bait. I've reset it with chorizo now - it's jammed on a bit better. If they remove it...
