    Hi from Brittany, France

Hi! Can I ask whereabouts in Bretragne? I intend to head to France for my retirement (few years yet) and despite the fact that my ex is Breton, it's one of the the regions I'm considering.

    Shiro Wat

I've had a discussion recently with someone about pease porridge, same thing? I seem to remember that I decided to try it, but the sketchiness of that memory and my absolute failure to recall who I had the conversation with may indicate that a snifter or two had been had. Will look into it.

    Shiro Wat

It's an Ethiopian savoury porridge, made from chickpea flour. I did it from scratch during the week, easy to do and very tasty. But I've now ordered a kilo of preseasoned mix for it, which it strikes me might be a handy base for a dahl like curry on the go, it cooks a lot quicker than whole lentils.

    Replacement Leatherman Blades

Officially, no. But you'll find them on sharp & pointy thing forums. If you're just looking to replace a broken or damaged blade on a one for one basis, talk to Leatherman, they'll do it free. They replaced my Wave (broken small screwdriver, notched blade, damaged and loose pliers) with a brand...

Potential ban to wild camping on Dartmoor.

I should probably point out also that the circumstances I've outlined may not actually construe aggravated trespass but just as a for instance, look at what constitutes "disorderly behaviour".

Potential ban to wild camping on Dartmoor.

It's not really the case though, which was the point I was making above. Once you've been asked to leave land and have refused, the police can take an interest and direct you to leave, refuse that and like as not you'll be going for a ride with plod. There are a lot of ifs, buts and maybes but...

Potential ban to wild camping on Dartmoor.

While people may argue the legal niceties, in practice not leaving when requested to do so by the owner or someone acting on their authority will do it.

What does it have in its Walletsies ?

One of the little 'credit card' folding knives is the only even vaguely Bushcraft-y thing in there, it has seen service several times for cheese and sausage slicing, if you've ever tried to get something other than McDonalds to eat in France outside of lunch or dinner time you will understand...

For Sale Vintage metro ticket machine

I've no real use for it I'm afraid, but just to say these exact machines were used on Belfast buses up until the early eighties.

    Group Buy Pressure canners.

I was hoping that with a group buy we'd be able to get the value of an individual Presto below the import duty threshold.

    Group Buy Pressure canners.

It would need to be a fairly sizable deal!

    Group Buy Pressure canners.

Well that's reassuring at least. I may give it a go in granny's old Prestige which is probably my biggest.

    Group Buy Pressure canners.

I do my own jams, sauces and pickles fairly regularly which I got comfortable enough with. The notion of canning meat in particular just gives me the fear for some reason.

    Group Buy Pressure canners.

I have numerous ordinary ones, stove top and electric but not the chutzpah to deviate from canning instructions!

    Group Buy Pressure canners.

Yeah, I don't think Presto do SS. They are the budget option.

    Group Buy Pressure canners.

Okay, I hope I'm okay in doing this as it's an enquiry. Would there be much interest in a group buy of pressure canners from the 'States? I'm looking at the Presto 23qt canner. Not the best available, but it's common, has a good user/spares base and is relatively inexpensive, also being...

Chris Reeve Shadow III. Survival Knife.

Beautiful blades and an Aviator has been on my wishlist since my SWAT reading days. Honestly though, I couldn't put out a grand on one.

    What are we really

I still just want to be a flares and moustacheless Fireball. (It's unlikely anyone much under 50 will get that)

If you had no ties and money wasn’t an issue, where would you move to?

France, either central or up north and as I'll be burying my last blood tie to NI next week, it's something that is going to happen.

    The old Britishblades forum

I didn't mean to suggest otherwise, I just always found it fraught with tension. My experience may have been comparatively limited!
