    Is it possible to use the GPS within a mobile phone to the same accuracy? Do they work on the same satellites as the Garmin etc? That would be the cheapest - assuming they already have a smart phone of course!

    Depends how bushcrafty you want to be. Baler twine? the stuff used to make bales of hay and straw Different thickness available depending on strength etc. cost is £10 -£30 per kilometre! I have a 2.5km roll in my shed i'm working through.

    yes, as a source of metal but the chances of being able to straighten them out to use as pegs again is probably a no go!
