When I bought my first decent tent, the lady told me never to fold it in the same place, as it causes creases and weakens not only the fibre, but the waterproofing, I loose fold and roll tents, and stuff tarps in a long and narrow stuff sack

I'm pretty sure glyphosphate works, "round up" is a weak solution of it. I'm sure the more knowledgeable will be around shortly :)

Hmm I think my biggest concern sleeping in a cuben fibre tent would be noise, from reading on hammockforums, it aint the quietest mat'l, and any wind or rain would probably make you wish you had brought along your industrial strength ear defenders

It may have just been some scrot looking for a shortcut, I had a problem with a neighbours kid doing that a few years back, did the Fenna trick of piling loose scrap wood against the wall, he got the message. Alternatively, perhaps that 45 deg security fencing they use at the top of chainlink...
