Withdrawn Gerber BMF Survival Knife - yet another price drop - unused, never sharpened - £130 + £20 delivery

I'll take a look. I think it might have something to do with the fact that it's a large survival knife with a saw back. Many other utility blades are allowed with various carriers (even Royal Mail) including folders. You can even buy some of the smaller knives in certain shops if old enough...

Withdrawn Gerber BMF Survival Knife - yet another price drop - unused, never sharpened - £130 + £20 delivery

Update: I've been on the phone to TNT - who are in the process of being swallowed up by FedEx. Was therefore put through to FedEx customer service. After an age of double checking they said No! FedEx cannot ship my knife either internally (UK to UK) or even UK to USA. I'll leave the advert up...

Withdrawn Gerber BMF Survival Knife - yet another price drop - unused, never sharpened - £130 + £20 delivery

TNT looks promising. Thanks for that. I also noticed that FedEx might be a possibility too. I do know that Royal Mail backed down very recently on their 'no knives' policy for things like folders etc, but 'not' survival knives. Not sure if my brother is allowed anything other than carry-on...

Sold Buck 25th Anniversary Folding Hunter - unused - PRICE DROP

Here is a Buck 25th Anniversary Folding Hunter. I never got around to using it, preferring a lighter titanium handled model. Please note the lack of black colour on the letter 'V' and half missing on the letter 'E' where the blade writing is. It was already like that when I purchased a few...

Withdrawn Gerber BMF Survival Knife - yet another price drop - unused, never sharpened - £130 + £20 delivery

Think the problem is getting it onto a plane out of the UK. Edit: deleted this paragraph, as I don't want to upset anyone with words about small arms etc. I'm actually worried about my sharp sense of humour. Might I need a license for it?

Withdrawn Gerber BMF Survival Knife - yet another price drop - unused, never sharpened - £130 + £20 delivery

Ha, ha! I have a brother who Captains a front loading Jumbo cargo jet for Atlas. Flies out of Georgia. They ship missiles, mil hardware and troops across the globe as a private contractor... and even he couldn't get it over there for me. They'd simply grab it as his luggage went through the...

Withdrawn Gerber BMF Survival Knife - yet another price drop - unused, never sharpened - £130 + £20 delivery

Yep, I agree with you on that. All that space and big trees :-) Alas, eBay won't allow me to sell on their UK site, and by extension I can't sell from the UK through their USA site. All these new rules and regulations. Even if I could, there appears to be no carrier that will ship something like...

External frame solution for Frost River Isle Royale

Thanks for that tip. The Frost River stuff is constructed out of a quality waxed canvas. Really is wonderfully made, with an, "I love butterflies and nature" green look, rather than a military one. Only downside is the cost. Believe it's 100% made in the USA. I'll give Jay Jays a Google.

External frame solution for Frost River Isle Royale

Hello there I bought the 'Frost River Isle Royale Mini Bushcraft Pack' in April 2023 from Natural Man in the UK. A solid and recommended seller. I love the sturdiness of this pack, even though it's just for carrying a heavy rugged laptop up and down high streets. Nothing off-road. Only wish it...

Withdrawn Gerber BMF Survival Knife - yet another price drop - unused, never sharpened - £130 + £20 delivery

Yes, I have joined this forum after searching high and low on how to sell a large bladed knife in the UK. No carrier will ship to the USA and eBay won't entertain the thought of selling through them. Crazy! Story behind this blade: Many, many years ago, when it was still actually legal to sell...

    Here I am...

Okay, that's fine. Happy to supply any form of ID to confirm who I am. Let me get the photos and info ready. Even if I can't sell it here, I'll at least be able to get advice on the best course of action. Can't bear the thought of having it confiscated, then given a few pence as compensation...

    Here I am...

Must be upfront: I joined in order to find info on how I'd go about selling a massive unused Gerber BMF knife. Having said that, I used to go everywhere... survival, snow, rain, mud. Okay, I think this is where I have permission to waffle. I'm astounded at how knives are now seen by the...
