Spot on Stew. I've owned and worked dogs all my life. I regard most veterinary practices with almost the same distain as politicians, bankers and lawyers, but by your own admission Paul, the little dog isn't right and a quick trip to the vet will probably cost you less than a ton for your peace...

Sorry Lou, me not being clear I think. I meant just carrying the stitching along the closure strap to the far left of the second pic, not to sew it to anything, but rather for the final overall aesthetic. :)

Lovely job there. Had I the skills to come close to making something like that and I don't, so this is certainly no criticism, I think I'd have continued the stitching along the closure rather than leave it grooved. :)

Thanks for the reply. We considered doing this too and even bought the appropriate LED lamp, but for several reasons, the most relevant being that my friend is terminally ill, we have decided to go down the "buy it rather than build it" approach to try to rule out the hit and miss, time...

A friend and I are looking to buy a decent moth trap with a view to surveying what's about and learning more about them. Does anyone else do this and does anyone have any recommendations as to decent traps? At the moment we are looking at a trap from Watkins and Doncaster as my friend has felt...
