For lots of gear it is best to try on and look at before you buy. There are a few good outdoor shops around the Covent Garden area of London. If you have the chance, I can recommend stopping off in Ambleside, or better yet, Keswick, in the Lake District…densest concentration of outdoor and...

Probably not though. It is hard to get so far off grid, even in Scotland, that you could starve to death before you could get help…excluding immobilising accidents. Also, this chap has had folk here telling him what cannot be done plenty already. His goals have been dialled back since his...

Folks, lets just give this chap a list of gear recommendations. That is what he is asking for. He has posted quite a few threads before, and everyone has questioned and informed at great length. The gentleman is not for turning.

Government consultation on banning large knives and machetes

The written wording on pocket knives is this is what I think would make prosecution unlikely if police measure a pocket knife and include the ricasso. Should give grounds to contest seizure by police.

    Reactive outdoor 3sec tent

Can Evri find Skye on a map? Do they only send a driver when they reach a threshold number of items to deliver? Where is the depot that they work from? I can see some "Parcel shops" in Inverness, some of which look like private addresses. There is a depot in Dundee...180 miles from setting a...

    Robin Hood shots.

Once is bad luck...twice is careless! :lmao: I have not done that, but I was once very pleased with a tight group I shot while practicing with broad heads...right up to the point I realised I had sliced half my fletchings off! From then on it was one shot per target spot. More realistic...

Selling knives privately and auction houses in UK?

Where abouts, roughly, in the UK are you when you are in the UK? Curious, who the airline is, and how do they know to contact you about something you might be carrying in the hold?

Selling knives privately and auction houses in UK?

I would be very suspicious of a verbal assertion that they will not carry in hold luggage when their written rules state that they do. I would certainly not embark upon a time consuming quest to sell off kit that has rather low re-sale value on that basis alone. You have a full membership...

    Wanted- crossbow bolt or Arrow

Am I the only one thinking... "a chance to encourage folk to see bows and arrows as weapons."? :stretcher: I would not be surprised if demonstrating the wound challenge of a crossbow bolt, when there have been much reported but still rare cases of murder by crossbow, doesn't make at least some...

    EDC Bag Recommendations

https://www.helikon-tex.com/en_eur/bags-packs/bags.html They do a few shoulder bags, the Wombat looks a possible for you. A friend of mine showed me his Bushcraft satchel and it was very nice, but maybe a bit too floppy for your need. It was the sort of thing you could roll up and carry in...
